I’ve been away from Android for a while, and had forgotten that I had to set the USB to storage instead of charge. (Pull down from top of screen when connected to PC, tap for options, and select “transfer files” or something close to that).

I figured it out. I’m so dumb!

I want to transfer some notifications and ringtones from my Windows PC to my 3a XL, but when I connect it,, the phone shows in the sidebar and when I click on it the computer says “ this folder is empty”. What am I doing wrong?

Just an update: I got the 3a XL replaced, and the camera is great!

Do I detect a little fandom here? iPhones have excellent cameras, with very natural (not oversaturated) colors. Plus, no one compares to their video cameras. I’m a fan of both platforms, and thinking that I have a defective 3a XL. It’s going back to Verizon for a replacement.

I bought a Pixel 3a XL, and I must say that I am not impressed with the camera. Compared to my iPhone 8 Plus, the pics aren’t very good in comparable settings. Colors are much more natural with the iPhone. I do like the phone, but either something is wrong with mine or the camera is overrated.

I have noticed that the speakerphone volume is probably the lowest of any phone I have ever had. And email notifications are extremely low (using Gmail app).

It’s better with night shots, but normal daytime shots are better on several phones (Galaxy S9, S10, iPhone XS, Xr, XS Max, etc.). DXOMark confirms this.

It has become AC= advertising central, and iAdvertiseMore. Really have gone over the edge.
