This fixed the problem but the 5GHZ is still slower than 2.4 GHZ. I'm getting 15-17mbps on 5GHZ (after 10 tests) and 20-24mbps on 2.4GHZ. The 2.4GHZ never dipped below 20mbps. Why is 5GHZ slower?

That's good. One "warning", for me (and a lot of other people), even with good speeds, VOIP has not worked well on TMobile's HSPA+ network. It's been 50-50, which makes for a lot of annoyed people who don't want to take your VOIP calls.

That's not it. For an entire year (prior to the tower switching) I was able to average 18+mbps in NYC on TMobile. Now I'm lucky to get 1mbps.

Is there a way to force the Nexus 4 to only use the 1700mhz band?
