i have this issue and showed it to a verizon rep and they told me that it doesnt hinder the functionality of the phone and therefore cannot be turned in as a warranty issue. maybe i just need to go to a different verizon store.

i had this problem for a while, kept rebooting but would only solve for a day or two at most, went to verizon the first time i was told that i cant do anyhting about it without replicating the issue in store. finally it happened again and i went serviceless until i could make it to the store...

i had one for my iphone 4 it protected the phone very well, the only issue i ever had with ballistic is that they didnt seem to pay attention to after market chargers and headphone plugs. if the aftermarket company had a little extra bulk in the plastic part of their plugs they wouldnt fit...

it seems to me that it will break off if you yank on it, mine fell off on its own and there was a little tab left hanging out that i pulled on with a pair of needle nose pliers, the tab broke off flush with the phone, i can still a little bit of it left where it kinda retracts back in that hole...

i had no choice, mine fell off. i did however like the idea of keeping debris out of the port, it gets kind of annoying picking pocket lint and fuzzballs out.
