I have 5.1.1 on my tab S.....running an aosp ROM anyway. Just root it, download the flashify app, get on XDA and find a decent Tab S ROM, and ditch the Samsung software. Your tablet is also gonna perform a lot better too.

The hell with waiting. There's plenty of decent ROM's for the Tab S over at XDA. I'm running 5.1.1 with pacman ROM and performance is 10 times better now on my 10.5. Marshmallow should be ready for it in the next couple weeks too. That touchwiz 5.0.2 ROM is just junk. You guys really should...

The problem is that this phone with 4 gigs of RAM typically holds only your last 4-6 recent apps in memory, usually anything after that reloading begins to occur. It's even worse when using browsers or games. It's the same with all Samsung devices Any Android device with 3 gigs of RAM running...

The way I see it, you can reach a point as an android enthusiast where a question like this is just insulting. I'm way beyond that point. There are just too many ways that android is superior.... once you've experienced android in depth and what it has to offer, who would wanna give that up...
