So I had a co-worker who is huge try and he couldn't either. I gotta be missing something.

Ok. Either I'm pretty weak or they've changed the design. I've twisted it as hard as I can (bottom in left hand turning clockwise and top in right hand turning counter clockwise) and it just won't open. Any tips? I'm not loosing my grip and I'm certain strength isn't the issue.

I think if you get a good case and be careful you don't need insurance. If hardware fails I think Google would "take care of you"

Sorry. It's the one drawback to the S2. I'm not a fan of the card system that's AW. I like how Tizen handles things with respect to the S2 and wearables but S voice stinks. If you used your watch to verbally respond to texts a lot you aren't going to like the S2. You might want to try...

Long shot but try this. Under accounts in settings on your S7 log into your Samsung account. Then under profile go to the secuirty tab. Look for your watch and see if it shows it signed into your Samsung account. If so log off. Factory reset the watch and gear manager. Then try the wifi trick...

Try pinging your watch from a workstation on the same subnet. See what the latency looks like. I placed my watch right next to my router for the night for better results. Not sure it makes a difference but if the sync is timing out due to the crappy wifi in the watches that could help.
