If you have it on, try turning off the "Night Clock" on the edge screen - worked for me.

Absolutely... if you are running intensive games on the device, you could easily lose 20% in 1 hour.. for me, the most important aspect is idle battery life.. I may leave it on my desk for a few hours, and if I lost 30% battery in that time... then the battery life is terrible...

I had terrible battery life on the edge... it was draining 10% an hour.. with not doing much on it. The interesting thing that fixed this is turning off the "Night Clock" on the edge... Now I get amazing battery life. I used to set this from midnight to 8am, but it would drain during the night...

No, I don't think so.. mine wasn't scratched to begin with though. Have to say though, that the "checkup" seems to have improved battery life and overall speed of the device... maybe it is just my impression..

Got back my Note Edge today.. so far so good. They replaced the whole screen and even said that I had an issue with the vibration motor, that they also replaced. Fast and efficient service. So quite happy with that. Let's hope nothing else happens to the phone.

Just to report back. The cache wipe worked for a day or so, but then something called "Android Core Apps" started giving issues. Got frustrated and did a factory reset of the device. Seems a little better, on idle it is draining 3-4% an hour. I think that is probably the best I can get.
