I think overall Lollipop is a positive step forwards. The on screen notification display is one of my most favorite features.
However there are a few issues which I hope get patched. Many applications seem to freeze, most notably Gmail.

I have noticed some applications don't handle well. They seem to be doing more processing than necessary.
But haven't noticed crashing. Will only get hot under the same circumstances that occurred on Android 4.

There were a few kinks, however it is worth it just for the lock screen notifications.
So useful to see your messages without having to unlock the screen(an optional feature of course).

Yes, Android 5.0. It is mostly good, I won't complain.
I look forward to the update coming, hopefully it will fix a few of the annoyances.
