    Thank you mustang7757 and SpookDroid ! SpookDroid after I re-opened the google messages app, it started pairing / turning on the chat features. :)

    When I re-opened google messages, it was like suddenly , the chat feature started working and paired with my phone. So I was able to get it working.

    When I downloaded and installed Google Messages, it says that my carrier (Spectrum) doesn't support Chat features .

    I thought I saw on the Google play store or the app itself when I downloaded it that it didn't have RCS. But I could be wrong.

    Hi Is there a way for the text messages to not wake up your phone everytime you receive them? I was using Textra because I'm not sure there's a way. But I like how in the default / stock messages app that you can see when some of your contacts have read your messages.
