UPDATE - jdbii's solution of having the voicemails show up in the call log and playing them from there seems to have worked pretty well. I'm playing the voicemails with much less or zero lag now. Thanks!

Tried reinstalling and playing from the call log. Seems a bit better - will give it a few days and will post an update. Thanks for the advice!

Big fan of google voice and the Nexus 4. My issue is that when I want to play a voicemail, there is a long lag in the time it takes to actually start playing from the time I hit the button to have a specific message play. The voicemail itself loads painfully slow. Data speeds, browsing, etc...

What do you think would be worse this past week - being us in the lurch, waiting for any info for our phones (just got whip lash from watching another truck I though was UPS drive by) or actually being one of the Google CSR this past week? That said, they've probably had Nexus 4's since beta...

Mine made it to Boston too. It's got a couple hour drive ahead of it and if it doesn't get del'd today, I won't see it until Monday. If it does arrive today, does anyone think the UPS driver will think it's odd when I roll out a red carpet for him?
