I would like to add, the connection drops every few seconds! The internet connection is not that bad and the device too works fine with other wifi. So it definitely got to be some configuration problem which I'm not able to figure out :(

@mr_nobody No, I dont use Bluetooth. Both Bluetooth, NFC are turned off. My router channel was set to "Auto Scan" and I changed it to channel 11 as I had read that's the best option, but it din make any difference.

Haha :D No, not this time. I have noticed this problem even when my Nexus is the only device using the router. So I doubt if that can be the issue. I'l give that a try anyways.
