it's still the same idea, since 4:3 isn't a square, there is still orientation to the image, vertically oriented pictures would be taken with the phone in portrait and horizontally oriented images would be taken in landscape.

i'm actually kind of digging it. the notification shade is smaller now thanks to the ASOP style buttons (and the stupid brightness bar is finally gone) still not sure which multitasking version i like better, but aside from that i am liking the new UI.

Re: If Bluetooth is turned on, is it ALWAYS "discoverable"? Dangers of hacking in public places? correct, it will only be discoverable to unpaired devices when you are on the bluetooth settings page.

it seems to be an issue with the way the app interfaces with their servers. so it's an app/server issue, most of the time for users who are having the issue, changing to a different app usually works.

my guess is they were the first to ship the phones, so therefore the first to be able to submit the claims, and they also needed to get the netflix promo codes out, which may have triggered having their VR's set up to ship.

i think this is why it's been taking google so long to fix it, it's not a consistent bug (i personally have no gmail issues, but my friend does, and he has had them on a G4, a V10, and now his S7E) and somewhat hard to consistently replicate what triggers it for some people.

you can create folders in the app drawer (i'm assuming you're talking about the Touchwiz (stock) launcher) you just click the edit and then drag an app onto another one and it will create a folder.

condensed is the opposite direction you would want to go, you want to increase the DPI setting (which makes the UI elements and text larger) and the only way to make it larger than the default setting is through adb.

android N will let users scale the DPI setting through the UI. until then you can use adb to adjust the DPI. the OEMs do adjust the DPI for what they feel is good for the user, which is why you see the variation between them, DPI (in this sense) is not a function of the hardware, it's just a...

a thin case helped me, i had it caseless for a couple days, and while it looked amazing, i kept touching the edges of the edge. now i'm mostly good. (i'm using the thin samsung case FWIW)
