Re: anyone else Loving the deeper exchange integration??
IMHO, HTC Sense is the only implementation on Android that does Exchange/Activesync accounts right. With the various views (conversation, starred, unread etc.) that are in the mail client, direct GAL lookup with additional info (not the...
Purchased apps will restore when you go to the downloads area in the Market, but free apps from your prior image won't show.
If you have it rooted, you should use Titanium Backup or any other backup solution to backup all you apps prior to flashing a new ROM. Then it is two steps to restore...
anyone have this problem on the EVO:
After a reboot, my swype functionality will go away (i.e. touch type works on the swype keyboard, but dragging my finger to create words doesn't work).
my workaround is to switch to a different keyboard in the input method dialog, and then switch back to...
3g icon goes away, which is why i suspected it was an app issue but i don't see any apps that are inordinately showing battery use or using crazy amounts of CPU.
To clarify the issue has nothing to do with 3g reception or the wifi being constantly on:
I have perfect 3g reception in my home, and if I turn off wifi and just leave 3g on, i get 18-24 hrs of battery life at home.
Likewise, if I just leave wifi on and turn 3g off, I get 24 hrs + of battery...
I am not sure if this is an app related issue or a bug in froyo:
When I am at home and turn on the wifi radio on my EVO, it connects to my network, but then the battery seems to drain 4-5x faster than normal, unless I explicitly turn the 3g radio off, which is when it reverts to the normal rate...
I downloaded Roadsync 2.5 Demo on my phone to see how good the widgets and UI were, and decided I was fine with the stock HTC one, so I am trying to uninstall Roadsync now, but the uninstall fails. Any tips on how to get this off the Evo?
I have tried running my EVO for several days with GPS turned on and turned off, there is negligible impact on battery life just leaving the setting on. Android and most apps are smart about only actually using the gps radio when the app asks for it. (although I have run into a few poorly...
sweet, the I went into the HTC widgets and it didn't show the Profile widget you mentioned, but I clicked Menu and synced it to check for new HTC widgets and it downloaded the Profile and Ringtone widgets. Thanks for the tip
AFAIK all new evo activations require a 2 yr contract/extension.
That being said, if you are a sprint premier customer (i.e. have a plan that costs > $99/month), you qualify for the upgrade discount every 12 months.
