Can Moto G Pro use WiFi calling?

Thankfully they were bought at clearance pricing. From the Motorola store on Amazon which now only hawks mobile phone chargers. Anyone smell a rat? Anyway, as I understand it, Vodafone are keeping 2G alive until at least 2025 by which time we'll have upgraded. The question on my mind now is what...

Can Moto G Pro use WiFi calling?

It's not actually Vodafone this time. I've been posting on Lenovo/Motorola forums and motorola support has responded with: WTF? Most carriers are about to switch off if not already done so (China Mobile, for example, phased out 3G in 2016). So every single Moto G Pro in the world will revert...

Can Moto G Pro use WiFi calling?

Vodafone are telling our family that we need to buy three new phones because our Moto G Pro's aren't compatible with WiFi calling: This seems daft as WiFi calling has been built into Android since version 6 KEY Point: "If you don't see this option, it’s because your carrier doesn’t support...

    Caching photos

Might the answer be in the google-photos no longer deletes sd card thead? I have no recent Android hardware to test it out on but at least on 4.2.2 it seems photos on SD card are totally immune from being "tidied away to the cloud". With the gigantic SD cards available today, "freeing up space"...

Google Photos No Longer Deletes From SD Card (and misspelled a word)

Ah I get it. Apps may be able to use a certain amount of system store without needing additional permissions. If I could only be bothered to dig out the Eclipse project I started to learn app development on (and gave up on) I could test this out. Thanks for the example anyway! (For a moment...

Google Photos No Longer Deletes From SD Card (and misspelled a word)

Hi B. Diddy, it's certainly confusing - especially when checking the storage permissions of other apps... Storage on 4.2.2 is broken into Device Memory (internal storage, total device capacity 8GB) and SD card (external SD card 16GB) on my phone. Although most apps have the "modify or delete...

Google Photos No Longer Deletes From SD Card (and misspelled a word)

Sigh. Well, at least they fixed the spelling. OK, so this thread is ludicrously old but the issue remains... at least on Android 4.4.2 The error message is clear enough - "Photos doesn't have access to delete items on your SD card." But what does the App's permissions say... "modify or...
