    Youtube notifications disappearing. Android 14.

I'm using Android 14 on a Samsung A73 with OneUI 6.1. I'm subscribed to a bunch of Youtube channels. When I turn on my phone's data connection in the morning, I get about 10 to 15 notifications from my various Youtube channels. But about about half or more of those notifications disappear and I...

[SOLVED] How to tell if a 5G Android phone also gives 5G speeds when in hotspot mode?

I'm in India and only use pre-paid plans, so monthly rate limits and hotspot limits and throttling do not apply for me (for which I'm very happy). And data plans are very cheap in India compared to prices in US and other countries.

[SOLVED] How to tell if a 5G Android phone also gives 5G speeds when in hotspot mode?

Yes, the cellular radio is separate from the Wifi radio. I'm looking to buy a used 5G phone to use as a dedicated hotspot. I'm not a phone geek so I know very little about phone technology. While doing some research I learned about the different hotspot frequencies; 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. So now I...

[Solved]How to bring back vertical recently opened apps display?

Re: How to bring back vertical recently opened apps display? I installed the Samsung Home Up app and that fixed it. Yay! Now when I hit the Recent Apps button I can see a vertical list of about 7 of my recently opened apps and can select any one I want. Nice! :) How do I mark this thread as...

[Solved]How to bring back vertical recently opened apps display?

Galaxy A71, Android 12, One UI = 4.1. When I first got my Galaxy A71, the recent apps button showed a vertical stacked overlapping list of my recent open apps. This was great. For some reason, this display was replaced by a horizontal slide list that only shows 1 open app at a time. How to go...

    Fine volume control 2

Thanks for your reply. The problem is I can only set the volume levels allowed by Android. For example, my volume level on *every* app goes from 20% to 27% with nothing in between. 20% is often too soft and 27% is often too loud. There's apparently no way to set a volume level somewhere between...

    Fine volume control 2

I want to try again to see if this can be fixed. I've got a Moto One Power running latest version of Android Q. How can I get fine volume control? Currently the volume level is either too high or too low. Hitting my volume button just once makes it go from too soft to too loud no matter what...

Sync between android and windows 10

Just to clarify I only want to sync some of my pc files to my mobile, not all. Backups are very important for me so I everyday I make a full bootable image of my main hard drive. I back up to multiple separate external discs. Based on the feedback I've received, looks like Syncthing is best for...

Sync between android and windows 10

I've got Android P and Windows 10. I want to 2-way sync files between them. I don't want to use a cloud based service. I only want to do local sync with wifi or USB cable. Is Syncthing.net considered the best solution for this? Or are there better solutions for local syncing? I'm happy to pay...

    Fine volume control

Turns out the Google Assistant method doesn't offer fine volume control. From what I can see there's *no way* to put fine volume control on an unrooted Android phone. Wow. This is really surprising that such a blindingly obvious and needed capability is not possible unless root. If anyone knows...

    Fine volume control

Great idea. I'm now trying that and it ''seems'' to work. I need to play around with it some more to make sure. Thanks for the tip!

I've got a Moto One Power running latest version of Android P. How can I get fine volume control? Currently the volume level is either too high or too low.
