I don't get the sound slider switch. It's a big hardware addition that doesn't add much value. The get the physical buttons and switches, the better.

You can tell the difference with speed and battery life. OnePlus decided not to trade these things off for a 1440 display, and they saved themselves quite a lot of money, too.

I'm pretty concerned with the price. I can get an LG G6 from my carrier for $20 down, $20/month for 20 months = $500. The G6 has a better camera, better display, better water resistance, $20 more expensive. The Moto Z2 play is in the same price range. It's a lot more to consider, a lot of...

Then keep the 3T. Upgrading after less than one year is not very cost effective. You're not going to see a big difference, and the 3T is getting system updates. Hold onto your cash and wait till next year.

If long charging life is really important, you should get a battery case. You might have to wait awhile before one comes out for the OnePlus 5.

Is the G5 old? I'd hold onto it. I don't think the OnePlus 5 is a big enough jump.
