I am also on fido, the visual voicemail app seems to be working but i think it has triggered sms' being sent to 9216 (as being discussed on this thread http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-nexus-5/332589-my-nexus-5-sending-status-sms-9216-a.html ) .. i have a feeling these issues are related...
