It's a bit late to reply to this thread but this is the correct solution: Click the settings button inside the camera app. Click the settings tab. Scroll down to "save as flipped" Turn it on. Videos will be right-side up now!

Thanks! I almost messed it up by syncing back with google HALFWAY before contacts were deleted. Make sure to check your notification bar for the "too many contacts deleting" confirmation. FINISH that confirmation before you re-sync back with Google Contacts.
