    If their procedures don't work, Google for the I897UCKK4 oneclick update. There is a guy on one of the other forums that uses Obin and the ROM in an .exe file that will install the new AT&T / Samsung ROM. It is the official update, just won't be installed by KIES.

    Not sure about that. I would think as long as your computer is seeing your phone correctly, it isn't an issue.

    Kelly, you can do it. The instructions are clear. Make sure you have the Kies, which will install the drivers for your Windows machine.

    FYI: I installed the the official leaked version of Android 2.3.5 to my captivate about 4 weeks ago. It runs great. This is AT&T Release (Or leaked release) you don't need root, but you don't get the typical bloatware with it that AT&T includes. You won't be violating your warranty...
