Best prepaid GSM carrier in terms of data allowance.

Its hilarious when people try to insult your intelligence following grammar like "data rates IS up". Next time time try to think of a come back a little sooner than 2 weeks... Smart guy.

Stop being such a cheapskate and buy home internet. People like u are the reason data rates have gotten so expensive in the first place. If u can't afford it, go to Starbucks.

Is anyone using CyanogenMod on Ting?

No problem, keep us posted. BTW, its always good to have a Nandroid backup on hand just in case u start having problems with ur phone. I prefer using TWRP custom recovery over Clockwork Mod. Nandroids and flashing Roms are much faster on TWRP. U can flash TWRP from the Goo Manager app in the...

Is anyone using CyanogenMod on Ting?

Short codes will not work on an AOSP based ROM like CM. All u need to do is perform a nandroid backup of ur current ROM, then flash a stock based ROM for the activation. As soon as ur activated and all ur data services are working, including MMS, restore ur Nandroid and ur good to go. Any time u...

Best prepaid GSM carrier in terms of data allowance.

Re: Best prepaid Gsm carrier in terms of data allowance. I think AT&T Go Phone is by far the best out there for AT&T prepaids now that they changed their pricing. $60/month for unlimited talk, text, and 2GBs high speed data, now with LTE. Unless you're going to go with a T-Mobile MVNO, there's...

I stand corrected. Good to know.

    My AIO wireless review.

The 3mbs he's averaging is high speed. They limit their network to 4mbs max. After that u would fall back to EDGE speeds, basically unusable.

Solavei (pays YOU to have phone service?)

Actually, shortly after I made this thread Sprint switched on LTE in my area, so it wasn't worth it for me to pay the ETF. My contract ends in August so I think I'm going to go Prepaid then. I've had it with these second rate networks, so I don't know if I wanna switch to a T-Mobile MVNO. I...

Agreed. Its still proly the best deal out there for ATT.

    My AIO wireless review.

I was reading that their max download speeds are 4mb/s, which I believe is only 3g. I thought most ATT MVNOs were capable of HSPA+ which is up to 13mb/s. That is surprising to hear since ATT owns AIO.

I see. So its not considered an MVNO? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

    My AIO wireless review.

Dude, he lives in Alaska. Its a state, not a different country. It doesn't matter where u sign up for your service, u can use it anywhere in the US. To the OP, thanks for the review. Its good to know their customer service is decent. I'm considering switching to an ATT MVNO in the near future...

I am so confused with att mvno carriers!

Yeah man, that is just strange. Maybe try yet another sim, or u may just have to bite the bullet, pay more, and go directly through AT&T.

I am so confused with att mvno carriers!

Are any friends at work that have AT&T experiencing any of this, or just u? I wonder if its possible that AT&T knows which phones are using MVNO's and are the ones who are actually doing the throttling? It would make sense since they are losing so many customers to prepaid, even though a lot of...

I am so confused with att mvno carriers!

Dang, this is really discouraging to hear. I was really considering switching to an AT&T MVNO this summer. What really sucks is the worst networks, Tmo and Sprint, have the best prepaid options, and with Verizon ur only choice with BYOD is Pageplus (3g only). My Sprint unlimited plan for...
