    Pixel 2Xl and smartwatches

I've been using the Ticwatch Pro since July, and I really like it. Great screen and fantastic battery life. It's a chunky watch, though, so keep that in mind. Still, build quality is first rate.

    Ticwatch Pro locked phone issue

Starting yesterday, I encountered a weird issue with my Ticwatch Pro. Since I had Google Pay set up, I was required to have a security lock on the watch. This was never a problem until yesterday. I put my watch on in the morning, as usual, then unlocked it. No problem, except, the next time I...

Which is preferable: Google/unlocked Pixel 2 or Verizon

I believe that these features now work with AT&T as well. But I'm not 100% sure on this, so best to confirm.

Somehow, the problem resolved itself. I recently installed a Wear OS update. Maybe that's what fixed it.

One thing I've noticed is that, if a call comes in, and I miss it, I'll have a missed call notification on the watch but not the phone. This is different behavior than you'd see on other apps, where you get notified on both devices. FYI, I'm using a Pixel 2 XL running Android P DP3.

    tic watch Pro

I can't speak to the point of using music, but I can get a full day and still have around 70% left. I have mine set to turn on the OLED screen when I raise my wrist, but, obviously, Wear OS is always running, since I'm not in Essential mode. So my guess is that you'll get at least a day out of...

Pixel 2 International Use, Project Fi?

I can't imagine how they'd know or care. If someone calls your Verizon number, all Verizon knows is that your number is forwarded to another U.S. number. Once the call forwards, Verizon is done with routing it, and Fi takes over. You might answer in New York or Moscow, but it's Fi handling the...

    tic watch Pro

The thing I'm noticing is that it's hard to get a look at the LCD screen without triggering the OLED one. I could turn that off, but I like being able to raise my wrist and have all my info show up. And, even with two days of battery life, that's better than the S2 Classic I'm coming from. The...

Does Samsung Gear S3 Work with Pixel 2s?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it's about as good as any, I guess.. I have an S2 Classic and am on the P beta. After upgrading to P, the watch continued to work. Until, that is, I did a factory reset on my Pixel 2 XL. Now, the Gear S app crashes every time I try to...

    Android P (Dev Preview 4) -- Live!

I got it, but after I restated into DP4, the phone really heated up and quickly drained the battery. Rebooted again, and things seem to have settled down. Pixel 2 XL, BTW.

    June Images Are Go!

It isn't referring to an FM radio. It's the radio used to communicate with the cell network.

Google pixel 2 battery dischage fast in China

Another possible culprit is, if you were using your Canadian SIM and roaming, your phone was regularly scanning for your home network. This wouldn't explain your issue entirely, but it may have contributed to it.

How to set up regular voicemail on Verizon Pixel 2

Also, really, you want to use the visual voicemail built into the dialer. It works great, and you don't need to navigate through menus. The messages are just there in front of you.

Anyone else having Verizon's Message+ freeze up on their Pixel 2 XL?

Same here. I got my 2 XL in November and wanted to keep using Message+, but it kept stopping, so I'd only get messages when I opened it. I started using Android Messages but wasn't crazy about its lack of features compared to Message+. I ended up trying Textra, and I really like it. I'll...

Does it work in Kenya? Is this a global, one version phone?

Yes, it'll work. Kenya uses 900/1800 for 2G, 2100 for HSPA, and 800 (band 20) for LTE, all of which are supported by the Pixel 2 and 2 XL. The only things that may not are VoLTE and wi-fi calling, assuming those services are offered. Best thing to do is to ask the carrier you intend to use it...
