Did you try to change the resolution of the GPad? ->Link Aldarin Edit: in Android 4.2 you have to use the ActivityManager command "adb shell am display-size" and display-density ;-)

Is it possible to change the resolution of the device to 1920x1080 to avoid the black bars or does it need root access as described here? -> Slimport -> HDMI Aspect Ratio Aldarin
