How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue I just performed a factory reset about 2 hours ago. So far everything seems sorted. I can confirm no restarts and I have been opening lots of apps with wifi / 4G/ bluetooth on and NO REBOOTS. I followed this: Backup and this Hard Reset

How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue Samsung told me to do a factory reset but I have read that it won't fix this issue so I decided not to do it. Apparently a factory reset would not reset the firmware version so it pointless. I messaged them back but I have not received another email...

How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue Seems like it is a software issue. Anyone any idea when the next update will be released? I just emailed Samsung UK support to ask about the issue. I reccommed everyone emails them explaining the issue so they actually prioritise the next update...

    V 4.4.2 Random Reboot Problem

Without a shadow of a doubt it is to do with the 4.2.2 update. Why the hell cant they just release them all at the same time. I am having to charge my phone more often now as it keeps rebooting meaning that all this extra charging will likely F##k my battery. It really bakes my grapes.

How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue Tell me about it. I have wiped the cache partition 20 times and still no success. I fear a factory reset may be needed but I really don't want to go down that route. Its a last resort but I've had this issue for days now.

    V 4.4.2 Random Reboot Problem

Yeah, I got my phone from Phones4u in December and in a couple of months later went back as it had swollen. They went through the back and got me a new battery for free, its 100% official Samsung. I don't know if it matters but I'm on a 4G contract.

    V 4.4.2 Random Reboot Problem

Ok I tried wiping the cache partition. When I did that the yellow text at the bottom left of the screen said complete. When I then went and selected reboot, the android symbol in the centre of the screen said Error! below in grey letters before the device restarted. Is that a problem? P.s The...

    V 4.4.2 Random Reboot Problem

I'm in the UK and on the EE network. About 4 days ago I got the software update notification which I accepted. After the update the phone now randomly reboots for no reason. I know it not the battery as it has recently been replaced and its fine. The first time it happened was half an hour after...

How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue I have twilight installed on mine which I updated yesterday. I fiddled with the auto settings and it seems to be ok for now. There was an annoying bug though which kept switching on the auto brightness setting on the phone but again I changed the...

How to stop random reboots on Galaxy S4 after update?

Re: Galaxy S4. 4.4 Random Reboot Issue I had to make an account to reply. I wiped the cache partition like you suggested but the problem persists. Its a royal pain as every reboot takes a chunk of battery with it.
