Its an issue that kies doesn't recognize the phones firmware and will probably be that way until jellybean comes out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Android Central Forums

Kies Updated today and still have the same issue.

did all of these. even spent an hour with samsung support trouble shooting.

the issue isnt an update issue. its the updates effect on the kies software. after the update kies doesnt recognize the firmware.

i Did the same thing it still doesn't work. any one else resolve the issue?

Tried uninstalling/reinstall Kies. Didnt work. reset phone didnt work. the issue is with Kies on their end.
