I found that turning off Google Now on my nexus helps a lot if you are not using it. Lucky you. Still waiting on AT&T to release the Jelly Bean update for my S3.

Open google now. On the card that initially comes up there is a settings menu (3 vertical dots) in the lower right. tap on the settings option. At the top of the settings menu, you will see "google now". Tap it and at the top of the screen is the option to turn off Google now.

T-mobile has plans that include just talk and text only. If you are not under contract or have purchased your G1 out right, you have two options. Prepaid (talk and text) or one of the even more plus plans with just talk and text. If your currently have service with t-mobile on another phone...
