    How do you hide certain photos?

    You can create .nomedia file. A .nomedia file is a blank file without file extension, placed inside a folder. When the media scanner detects the .nomedia file, the media scanner does not scan that folder so the images in that folder don't appear in the Gallery app.

    The S-View should be enabled from the accessories settings. Go to Settings -> Accessories. If you can't find S-view under accessories, or you can't find Accessories, than this feature is not supported on your device right now.
