Figured it out. I use Nova Launcher but didn't use the prime version (no ads). Updated it to Prime and the annoying banner ads all went away.

It randomly happened whether it was outside or inside. Verizon sent me a replacement and I returned that one. Replacement has no issues

Does anyone have an issue with their Ultra overheating? A handful of times in the last week or so it's said "Your phone needs to cooldown" and it had issues charging. I have a Verizon model and have had it probably four months or so.
