I tried that but that just returns it to the original white icon. I was just a bit frustrated cuz my friend seems to normal sized icon so I am assuming that the problem is on my end rather than the app.

Hi all, How to fix this issue since the latest update of google app. Interesting thing is that I own the I9505 version while my friend owns an I9515 but he doesn't have this strange issue. It looks so ugly like that. I am attaching a snapshot to make things more clear. Thanx in advance!

Recently bought an S4 I9505 and was testing out its IR blaster and it seems to have a very short range i.e hardly 3 ft for me, I tested it out with both samsung LG TVs and it also needs to be angled directly infront of the power buttons of the TV (which is where the receiver is located I gusss)...
