    If my line is not under contract (3 lines total), couldn't I just cancel it and let my wife start a new Edge line? If it is a new line, I wouldn't have to turn in a phone to get Edge. My phone is too nice to give away to Verizon for free.

    Are you guys certain the discount continues after I pay off the device? I am on an older plan with 2 lines. I usually use my phone 2 years and pass it on to my second line. If I Activate Edge on the 2 lines (eventual 2 purchases), then I would be having 2 lines with discounts and only pay one...
