As I understand all NEW devices from Verizon may no longer be locked as a consequence of FCC regulations. Also see the discussion on https://discussions.apple.com/message/22781231#22781231 for further links. Did you/anyone try out foreign sim cards yet? PS: Thanks for the great news!
