    You are right. The stuck touchscreen freezes much more than it did on my 2012 Nexus 7. Is the mouse driver automatically installed when you attached the usb mouse? I'm ready to try anything - but I think it is a hardware issue rather than a driver problem.

    I always thought so too, but if you do that and then open a task manager app still in memory. So now I'm no longer sure that really stops the app.

    Alternative to contacts app

    I have a rooted android 2.3.4 phone. The phone app (and linked contacts app) are perfectly fine but I am not comfortable having my entire contact list on my Google account. Are there alternative phone and contact apps I could use that are not connected with my Google account? Thanks
