Does the data saver "network restrictions" thing for the wifi network need to be turned off also? I had mine off but wasn't sure if it needed to be. Anyways my text messages are backed up finally. I also use sms backup & restore and there's an option for it to save backups to Google drive. So...

Thank you Lilybell2! That is a ridiculous criteria to get text messages to back up. But I do understand that the upload limit can be up to 25mb and whatnot. But I agree with others.. there should be a less strict criteria and/or a "back up now" button. Or it should be more known that the phone...

Thank you for the info dlalonde. I was thinking about doing a hard reset but I haven't noticed anything else wrong that affects me. I've saw people mentioned things about Bluetooth and whatnot though.

Does anyone's phone make a start/boot up sound on Oreo? Mine doesn't. Just curious if it's only me. I have tried with all the volume settings all the way up. I contacted google support and they weren't really helpful. Which was surprising because they usually are.

Thank you I found it also. I have developer options enabled but am not sure if they need to be to see that option. Do you know anything about the start up sound? Also does anyone know how to change the three icons at the bottom of the screen... Like the back/center/square buttons at the bottom...

I also just noticed when installing a new app it automatically puts an icon on one of the home screens. I don't see an option in the play store to change this, am I overlooking it?
