Pixel 6 vs Pixel 6 Pro: 'Known' Differences (pre-launch)

If the 6 were substantially more pocketable than the 6 pro, I may have gone for the smaller device and tolerated the spec trade-off (and be happy to save a few bucks). But they are both large phones. I have the S10e now and sure, the screen is not big, but it is so easy to hold. Neither of these...

    Samsung's Android 10 beta program on 10e

Thanks. I found the Pixel betas to be pretty usable, other than the odd app incompatibility. Guess expecting the same from Samsung is probably naive, but looks like I won't be finding out first-hand.

    Samsung's Android 10 beta program on 10e

Is the registration for the One UI 2 beta closed? The Samsung Members app doesn't give me the option anywhere that I can find. Thanks. I just got the 10e and, coming from a Pixel, miss the stock Android 10 full gesture navigation. Swiping from the bottom of the screen beneath the locations...

    Battery Replacement

I'm obviously not keeping up very well with this thread! This is great to hear, glad it worked for you as well. Hopefully still performing satisfactorily? Mine is.

    Android Q on OG Pixel

No issues here on the OG Pixel in the first couple of days. Haven't used it heavily, but the basics are humming as usual. Sure, I'd like a bigger screen and a fingerprint sensor that works when my hands are damp, but it's much easier and cheaper to keep using this great phone with the latest...

    Battery Usage after Pie

I used Pie preview version for months and battery was ok, but then at some point some weeks after the stable release battery started really performing poorly. I talked to Google, tried safe mode (battery performance still very poor), tried factory reset to no avail. Got battery replaced by...

    Battery Replacement

Yes. ubreakifix did it for $80 with OEM battery and it has breathed new life into my Pixel. I will probably keep it another year now. Def worth the money.

Google's refurbished replacement phones, are they all that bad?!

To be fair, people don't gush all over comment threads about their great experiences with refurbs. My wife got a refurbished Toshiba Chromebook over two years ago for like $200 and has used it ever since without issue.

    October update.

Just got it now. Seems tardy, but I understand others had issues so I'm hoping the delay indicates some optimization was performed before it made it to me. Here goes...

:-( Is my Pixel a Lemon?

Do not disturb turns on during calls for me too, and I assumed it was intentional...

    Shield Tablet...any user reviews

It's been really solid. I've had since August 2014 and though I haven't used it heavily the whole time, it's been really reliable (and fairly snappy aside from the 5.0 days). Software experience is hard to beat with timely (I'm talking nearly Nexus-like) updates. I've used stylus a lot for...

LG3 New system update available from T-Mobile

Call T-mo and ask for a replacement device on Kitkat. I got one a few weeks ago and I am so happy I did. Works great again. I'll put up with the older OS (and the persistent notifications of the software update) at least for awhile.

Why doesn't my LG G3 pick up the strongest WiFi signal?

Re: LG G3 does not pick up strongest WiFi signal Nice tip. I had the same issue at my workplace--same SSD, diff APs--and the G3 hung on for dear life to the original AP until I had no data connection. My Nexus 4 never had any problem. May try this.

T-Mobile LG G3 New Lollipop Build

I'm still terrified to try it. T-Mobile sent me a new device and advised to ignore updates, which I have. So it's back to KitKat, 2 day battery life and responsive performance. Not sure if what I stand to gain by trying this Lollipop fix is worth the risk. It was like running the G1 on Gingerbread.

LG3 Tmobile and the Lollipop update

Anyone know whether I can back up a phone on 5.0 using the LG Backup tool, then use that file to restore a phone on 4.4? T-Mobile is sending a new G3 which I intend to keep on KitKat for at least a while. Thanks.
