I've been using vlc direct pro to stream ripped movies from my PC to my kindle. It encodes them on the fly, works great, and saves the hassle of having to manually edit the files. Not to mention saves storage on the kindle also.

this guy is simply amazing. he made everything so easy, even for a totally new android user such as myself. If you're on the fence about rooting, I would definitely try to enlist Miami's help. He sat with me for almost 2 hours and literally walked me through step by step. he's like your own...

i'm interested. scared as hell though. lol. ive only had a regular smartphone for about a week, much less a rooted one.
