This is what my screen in General management looks like , See attached file Keyboard is working fine now, It was when I had turned OFF the "show button to hide keyboard" that things went bad. that was the problem don't you think?

I have Samsung Keyboard (and it's my default) there is something that says "show keyboard button and I think this all statted when I turned that settting off for some reason beyond my comprehension, Eerythng started working properly again after I turned the keyboard butoon setting back on...

I toggled off pen detection and so far its bavk to normal. Thanks for all you sent

No that doest help and what i thiought was a solution wasnt. I can only get normal keyboard by clicking on keyboard icon and im not getting emails from the forum that i had a reply.other ideas?

it looks like the show keyboard button had beeen turned off under general management Would that be the issue? Pretty sad :( it seems to have fixed it

Note 8 samsung keyboard all of a sudden started showing up in odd configurations never with alphabetical layout I didn't touch the settings and the restore to default is "grayed:" out how to fix dthis it will flip over to alphabet if i hit the keyboard icon in lower left but i have to do it...

the email address doesn't fit on the line provided. I tried. there is not 2 factor authentication that i know of. i tried putting in soandso@gmail.com. It's too long. I tried putting just his name. i tried the password at the time he go the phone. nothing is working. thx

I have that information. It was given to me by the owner. where is says "or use google account" what do they want? the password to the google account when the phone was originally set up? I HAVE THAT. I also have what is apparently a google generated password from the time the phone was...

I have reset to factory a Note8 but I cant' set up the phone which belonged to a friend because it wants a password when there never was one. Or it says use Google account. Does that mean just his google password or his email or what? The email is too long. What do they mean by use Google...
