I cannot confirm an issue with Swype, but I experience the same thing with Swiftkey 3. Swiftkey has acknowledged that they are having issues with the stock email client as well as Chrome for android. It looks to me like the stock email does not play nicely with third party keyboards

I noticed 4G around lunch today because I am usually on wifi all day. I cannot get a constant lock on it however, I keep switching between 3G and 4G. Are you in the city of Peoria? I am out in Metamora. I'm sure that they are just testing currently but this is a good sign that it will light up soon.
