Thanks, that sounds very plausible. It's a dual-sim model but I have only one SIM card in it. Also I'm pretty sure this ARTA thingy came about recently, or else I'd have noticed the icon (in the APP Drawer, indeed) much sooner. I can only think it came piggybacked with some recently installed...

I just noticed an ARTA app icon on the screen of my Samsung Galaxy A51 running Android 11, see screenshot. Absolutely no clue what this is and how it landed on my phone. When I click on it there are two options, "ARTA Presence" and "ARTA Callback", none of which make me any the wiser. I can't...
