    Changing ROMs does not affect your phones radios. To change the radio and potentially improve your reception issues, check out this thread. Keep in mind that every phone is different, so results may vary. The latest official radios for the Verizon GNex are the FC04/FC05. Hope this helps!

    What about users like myself who do not yet have 4G in their area? I've read articles on other phones being able to turn off the 4G in order to save battery, but being my first 4G capable phone, I am unsure how to do this... Would changing any of these settings prevent my phone from searching...

    I wouldn't count on it, the LTE version is thicker and most likely won't fit into the GSM mount :(
