    I can't comment on the face recognition part, but the Iris scanner on my note 7 worked with contacts in, glasses, and even through sunglasses. It worked at night too.

    I'm charging with the S3 charger and it seems to work, albeit does seem a bit slow. I've yet to unwrap the charger that came with the S4 but I'll get on that tomorrow
