    There should be a little orange/green charging light somewhere around the power button. (Got rid of my prime a little while ago so I don't remember exactly) And when the battery is completely dead sometimes it takes a little time to charge enough to power on.

    I use a 64GB SanDisk Ultra in my Asus Transformer Infinity tablet with no problems. Usually use it to watch movies. Sounds like it might a phone problem, hopefully someone here can help you.
