Did Google just completely forget about raise to wake?

Would the same thing also be true for my Nexus 5x then on 7.1? If I disable ambient display will I see a significant boost in battery/better doze?

Best iPhone-like Emoji Keyboard app for Android?

hey check out Textra. It's a texting app meant to replace your stock sms app, not a keyboard, but it does have iphone style emoji available. You have to go into the settings though and change it from android style to iphone style

Battery Performance with Google Now & Without

I've experimented with this a little bit and have found that turning off location history but leaving Google Now on makes a huge difference with battery. So you won't get the types of Google Now cards that location history provides but you'll still be able to use Now on Tap and most of the...

How can i add weather to my lock screen ?

Ok so this isn't a perfect solution, but if you get yourself "weather timeline" from the play store and then add the persistent weather notification, you'll have access to weather from your lock screen. The only caveat is that you'll have to swipe down once in order to see more than just the...

Does anyone actually use priority mode? If so, tell us how you use it

I pretty much cycle my phone between volume all the way up or all the way down to vibrate only. When I don't want to be disturbed I put it in airplane mode, which has the added benefit of saving battery over priority or none (and alarms still work). When I take it out of airplane mode I get all...

Any Suggestions For A Clock/Weather Widget That Works With Lollipop???

I've been using weather timeline and instead of having a widget I have the ongoing notification (which is very much like a widget in the notification shade). I've found this to be a pretty nice system, better than a widget. Updates are reliable and app is great. Edit: actually weather timeline...

Is there a way to turn off the notification pop up that takes up like 1/4 of the screen?

Sounds like a bug with the Galaxy S4 unfortunately, and that sounds annoying.

Is there a way to turn off the notification pop up that takes up like 1/4 of the screen?

I don't know which version of android you're using but that's not true. Maybe your phone has some kind of issue, but in 5.0.1 you most certainly can swipe heads-up notifications away and they also will timeout and hide on their own. https://youtu.be/r5KnKcdgCRU?t=22s

Is there a way to turn off the notification pop up that takes up like 1/4 of the screen?

The 5.1 update is just not ready for your make/model of phone then. But that's the only real solution to your issue. Until then you're just have to either wait for the notification to disappear if you want it to stay or swipe it away. Hopefully the update will come out soon though, it's very...

Is there a way to turn off the notification pop up that takes up like 1/4 of the screen?

You're probably on 5.0 then. Hopefully you get a 5.1 update because that's when they added that feature

Is there a way to turn off the notification pop up that takes up like 1/4 of the screen?

On 5.1 you can swipe the notification upwards and the notification will stay in your dropdown list, or swipe it sideways and it will go away completely

Please help! my front camera has stopped working. I have tried everything (clearing cache, factory r

It's most likely a hardware issue if you did a factory reset, and not all that uncommon with the Nexus 5 (happened to my friend's). LG fixed it though so you may want to contact them. Oh, first try disabling trusted face on smart unlock if you have that on. That always makes my front camera crash

    Texting on Computer

Honestly the most reliable solution would be to get a Google Voice number and text using Hangouts with that number. Works on phone and computer and through wifi/data. I've used mightytext/pushbullet/ airdroid, but they just aren't reliable and still require your phone to have a cell network...
