So...if I can't access the wifi settings is there any way to disable the wifi optimization or otherwise prevent it from dropping a wifi connection that it detects has no internet?

Well, I tried the workaround by deleting my old messages and switching to EvolveSMS (I have a Nexus 5 so Hangouts is my default SMS application), and it DID work after doing that. But after I turned the car on again, when there were a handful of messages on my phone it went right back to failing...

So, to be clear, has no one been able to get it to work while using Hangouts as the default SMS app?

Also, I'm able to change the voicemail number......seems ridiculous that I can't make the phone recognize the google voice app if I'm able to change all the settings it's trying to change anyway... Incidentally, does anyone know a way to find the AT&T voicemail number after removing it from your...

Huh...well I ended up hitting home when I got the FIRST error message and that made the Google Voice option stick, but when I press and hold #1 it still dials the AT&T mailbox so I don't think the setting ACTUALLY stuck

Yeah. And I can actually seem to change call forwarding numbers at will through the settings menu, though *004* works as well...

Well, immediately pressing the home button prevents the error message from appearing, but when I go back to the settings it's still set to "My carrier"

Well this WORKS in that it sets the Call Forwarding for busy and unanswered incoming calls to your google voice number, and then the Google Voice app will notify you when you have a voicemail, but it just bypasses the phone's voicemail, because the phone still thinks you're using AT&T's service...

I seem to be getting poor quality from the MHL to HDMI adapter...it's like the output is the same resolution as the phone's display (800x480) and it's just stretched to fit the screen...makes it look I'm watching an old DVD... Anybody else experiencing this? And is there a fix?

I actually had the same problem but then I made a trip to Best Buy and bought 2 chargers, a car and regular wall charger that had the cable attached to the charger rather than a separate USB cable and I found that they both charge the phone much faster and I was able to use the GPS while also...
