Nexus 5 won't turn on or charge (looping)!! please help

Before replacing the mobo, I'd try reloading the factory images. Can you get into recovery mode. Hold down the volumn down button while powering up. FYI - I replaced my power button (bought a replacement online for a few dollars) and after some soldering work, the phone is as good as new.

Nexus 5 won't turn on or charge (looping)!! please help

All: This is a known issue with the power buttons LG (as well as samsung and some others) uses on their phones. They are prone to go bad over time. The buttons are more complex with phones with batteries that are not easily pulled out (to reset the phone) so the button needs to distinguish...

no sim card error when boot in airplane mode

Yeah...I thought that too but I am the only person with 5.1 with this problem, so I'd guess not. I'm hoping someone has an idea that does not involve a factory reset.

no sim card error when boot in airplane mode

Hey all. I loaded 5.1 from the images on googles site. All works great except when I boot the phone and am in airplane mode, I get a no Sim card error. As soon as I turn off airplane mode, it goes away. Anyone know how to clear this? Note I did not factory reset when I loaded. I did not want to...

Sprint version - OTA update to KitKat - anyone have the OTA zip file...

Does anyone have a copy of the OTA zip file that was pushed out about a month ago for the Sprint variant of this phone? I rooted my phone so the OTA won't download to my wife's phone, but I'd still like to update it. I know I can use keis to push out the zip file, but I'd rather not loose root...

Sprint LTE Issues After 4.4.3 Update

Works like a charm! I can now tether once again. Thanks! Also, for those who don't want to spring for the SQLite editor, if you use ubuntu, you can download the sqlite app which provides a nice GUI to be able to edit the settings,db file. Just use adb to pull the file, and then adb push to...

Sprint LTE Issues After 4.4.3 Update

I believe I am seeing the same issue CMSevilla is seeing on sprint - I see LTE drop to 3G eventually. I'll reflash as well back to the 4.4.2 radios. I did notice that when I had LTE, it was very fast, i.e. 20 MB down and almost 10 MB up. I believe spark is starting to pop up where I live, so...

Sprint Galaxy Nexus on Kit Kat 4.4.2 running smoothly

I got everything I needed directly from the CyanogenMod Downloads - look for our phone (toroplus). You also need CWM 11.0 installed as well.

    4.3 update

For the most part, yes. There are a few graphical glitches when changing screen orientations, but those quickly disappear (half a second or less). I have had a few lockups now, but no where near the amount I was having on stock.

Sprint Galaxy Nexus on Kit Kat 4.4.2 running smoothly

All Roms are different, so hard to say which one is best. They all have their spins, and none are exactly stock. The one I am using is quite close to stock from what I have seen, but also has some extra stuff like profiles and protection of personal data, both of which I find useful. I went...

    4.3 update

I tried that as well going back to GA02 - it did not work for me at all. Still had data lockups on 4.3. I just posted in another thread that I went to KitKat through Cyanogenmod - it runs great, and no data issues, and I am on KitKat!

Sprint Galaxy Nexus on Kit Kat 4.4.2 running smoothly

Hey all - just a quick post to let you all know I took the plunge and installed Cyanogenmod's ROM for KitKat on my sprint galaxy nexus. It runs very well. All data works (3G/4G/WiFi) as does the handoff from one source to the next. Also, when I was running 4.2.1, I would have my phone lockup...

    4.3 update

I was not aware the nexus toolkit would work on a non-rooted phone. Thanks for posting.

    4.3 update

No - because you will need to install a custom recovery image like TWRP or CW. And then you will need the images as well, which I believe can be found on this forum. I went back to 4.2.1 since the data connectivity sucks on 4.3.
