It's for privacy yes, but any other laws, rules,and regs too that relate to internet procedures. And that could also mean copyright and gifs etc

I don't know about anyone else, but I hope the new (UK) owners host the mona site in the EU - where privacy laws can respect the person first and the corporation etc second.

James one of the reasons behind my question is that the privacy, and other laws and regs, are dependant upon the country of the hosting site, and I'm guessing the current sites are hosted in the US - but maybe not. Thanks for furthering this.

I usually clear the app's cache as a first step. Settings, apps, particular app, storage, clear cache. You don't have to, but I often do a phone re-start too.
