I need a better way to play on the go!

Has anyone else been experiencing signal strength issues in Charlotte today? I usually get 3-4 bars all over Charlotte, but I currently my Galaxy Nexus says I have no mobile network connections.

Wow. What a blatant cash grab by all of the wireless carriers. If I'm cut off using my prepaid plan I'll just deal with not having work email. My job doesn't require me to have constant email access, but it's nice to have. I won't subscribe to a contract plan just so I can read my work email.

I'm very interested in your experience with this problem. I started using Good a few weeks ago for work email. I'm also on prepaid Tmobile. I haven't had any issues running it so far. I'll let you know if anything changes.

I know I can get the game from other sources, but I'd really like to get it from the Android Market. Developers don't keep their apps up to date on the other markets like they do on Google's. But, i guess that isn't possible with any custom roms.

Ok. Has anyone been able to download the new game Cut The Rope? The android market says it's incompatible with the Fascinate. I think it is because of the download cache limit.

I've read that the Fascinate has a limit of 30 MB for apps downloaded from the market. Do any of the custom roms eliminate this limit? I'd like to be able to download a game that's bigger than 30 MB.

If you put a file called ".nomedia" (don't enter the quotes) in a folder, then the media player will ignore any music files. Look around the other folders on the sd card for a ".nomedia" file you can copy.

I was thinking about buying a cheap battery off of ebay. From other threads, I know that these won't charge in the phone with the current software. Is there any way to turn off this detection by software? I mean, do any new ROMs or kernels bypass this protection?

I've had exactly the same experience with 2.2. With GPS on, the battery died overnight starting with a 50% charge. After wiping the battery stats and turning off GPS I can make it through a whole day with light use.

You hit the power button while in camera mode. Just hit the power button again to turn off this lock.
