Who else leaves mobile data disabled?

Just for kicks, I tried turning off mobile data and relying purely on WiFi. I have WiFi at work and home, and most places I go out to have it as well, so far I've gone 2 days and 0MB used on mobile data. At first I was worried about things like notifications or social media, but they all come...

    Leaving Verizon for Fi

I received my 5x and Fi SIM last week, and activated it while on Android N Preview 4. I've had zero issues, and roaming between Sprint and T-Mobile on both CDMA and LTE have been great.

    Project Fi adds US Cellular

I was in northern NH on Sunday, and I was roaming on US Cellular but only on 1x, which I assume is part of Sprint's existing roaming agreement. Data wasn't usable, although I was on top of a mountain so that's likely why. Looking forward to getting US Cellular LTE!

Can I get Project Fi if its not available in my area?

From my understanding, it's not about you getting kicked off for not being in a T-Mobile area, it's all about activation. Currently, you need to activate Fi over T-Mobile, not Sprint or US Cellular. If you are close to a T-Mobile tower, you can put in that zip code, and just go there to...

    Getting Rid of HTC 10

That's a great photo, and no noise either! That's a hipsters dream photo, it saves them from applying the blur effect on their instagram posts lol

Be careful what charger you use with the HTC 10...

I've been charging my HTC 10 with my Pixel C charger and haven't had a problem once. it charges normally, stays cool, and every morning it's at 100%.

How can Google do it so cheaply?

Fi really isn't that cheap. For $30 on Fi you get 1GB of data, for $30 on T-Mobile you can get 5GB of data (although with only 100 minutes), and with AT&T you can get 10GB of data for $55/mo.

    booting project fi

T-Mobile shows you signal level when you zoom in, you easily could have noticed how good service would have been if you looked.

Does anyone find S Health useful?

I went for a 1.5 mile walk and it said I walked 4+ miles. I had Google Fit running and it reported around 1.5 miles. Disabled S Health and use Google Fit.

    S7 on Fi?

My guess would be that you'd need to use the Sprint model, right? From what I've read, there isn't one global version like there is with the Nexus 6P, each carrier gets one made to work specifically on that carrier.

Excellent CS people behind the support number

They were very friendly to me when I called about a Sprint issue, but they weren't able to solve the problem, they just had me run through the basic troubleshooting steps I already tried.

    Extender

Your Verizon extender uses frequencies specific to Verizon, plus, you need to have it active on a Verizon account to manage it. No, it can't be "converted". Why do you need to convert it though? Fi uses WiFi for calling as is, there is no need for an extender...

Nexus 6P - Google Opinion Rewards App

Re: Google Opinion Rewards App If you never leave the house of have location services off, you won't get them regularly. I often get surveys after I've been at certain stores asking how my experience was. I also got at least 15 identical surveys asking about who I was voting for.
