I only cleared cache before flash.

I flashed the rom and the kernel, but it still didn't feel smooth...

I tried both exploit and I got an error both times (can't remember which one) I didn't flash supersu, that was probably the reason why root didn't work then...

@putsometrebleinit: Yes, I had usb-debugging enabled. @slinkies: I tried framaroot, but it didn't work. TWRP didn't work for me since it said error while trying to install a new rom, but CWM worked fine.

Good news! I used TWRP to install CWM and with CWM I was able to install Pacman-rom. Pacman-rom had already root built in - problem solved. And I just found out, that for some reason, my adb works now! Thank you :)

Apparently, my PC doesn't recognize my phone as soon as I switch to charge only. In MTP I can access my files and charge my battery, but as soon as i switch to charge only, it stops charging. Driver: http://oi44.tinypic.com/55qdy8.jpg

I've tried to restart to recovery with TWRP, and it worked. But if I try to flash pacman-rom, it says failed: Updating partition details... Installing '/sdcard/pac.zip'... Checken for MD5 file... Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found. assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "e975" ||...

How can I do that? I'm not rooted and when I try to restart to recovery, nothing happens. EDIT: By the way, CWM suddenly doesn't recognize my phone anymore, so I have to set it to Optimus G manually... Maybe that's why recovery doesn't work?
