Even tried removing and re-adding my account in Samsung Mail - no help. Looks like I might have to re-enable Gmail until Samsung fixes their app. Kinda disappointing - I had absolutely zero issues with Samsung apps when I had my S8 (I was on Nougat, however - perhaps worth noting).
