They always recommend that you do a factory reset after a system update. Especially a big file as Marshmallow was. The reason is so that way you know it is a fresh install with no hiccups.

For the cellular service, Verizon. If you are just looking to use it via bluetooth without independent phone it will work with any carrier.

Just my opinion. HTC is over-hyped. They really haven't delivered the quality the talk about.

S7 and S7 edge on t-Mobile Network. If you haven't got it yet try manually checking for it in the software updates.
