Here's an update. I sent the phone back for a replacement. It appears that the SIM card is the issue because my old phone was experiencing the same thing using the same SIM card. I had to change the network mode in order for my phone to be usable. I got the replacement and this new unit does...

Can anyone confirm for me whether or not unlocked models does not have the "Network Mode" menu in "Connections > Mobile networks"? I've had 2 different S9 units that doesn't have it. Could it be caused by the SIM card and or the Provider?

Yes Mobile Data is turned on. Just wiped the cache partition but the problem still persists.

I just discovered that my phone won't download or view MMS or picture texts. This seems to happen after the software update few days ago. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this?
