I'd have to say my experience is nearly the same. It's ok... but disappointing for something I just spent 450 bucks on.

Yup, can't go any bigger. Held my friends Nexus 5 again yesterday and it just felt so damn great.

I swear that my Moto G 3rd gen did better on the battery than this 5X. It may not have recharged as fast, but I worried about charging it less in general.

That's awful to hear. I try and get rid of any reason to reach to the top of my phone since we've decided we all want giant ******* phones. I really hope something can be figured out, it's single handedly making me want to ditch Marshmallow.

UPDATE: called Google about this, we put it into safe mode only to see that a notification of any kind doesn't wake the Ambient Display either, and homeboy on the other end immediately issued me a replacement phone that will be here a few days. We'll see if that fixes it.

Yup, way too damn tall. It's still a "big" phone to me. - too tall, wish it were smaller. my finger won't rest on the fingerprint senor because of this. I don't hold the phone that high up. - battery isn't that great considering I just paid nearly 450 for it. - Ambient Display NEVER works...

In the last few days i feel like the battery has been getting worse. For instance: I unplugged it today at 11am. It's now 1:15. So in 2 hours and 15 minutes I'm down to 80 percent, and I've hardly used it. The SOT is only 27 minutes. I can't really narrow down a culprit app for drainig...

I have it turned on and I've seen it all of 3 times in my 5 days with this phone. What am I doing wrong? Isn't it just supposed to pop up anytime I get a notification/text etc? What gives?
